DAY NURSERY IN ROMFORD

 

Mary Poppins Day Nursery is a purpose built day nursery in Romford. We offer large playrooms, messy rooms and an all weather proof garden for your children to enjoy.

Our lastest Ofsted inspection was marked Good and states "All children receive a warm welcome and settle well with the support of the enthusiastic staff team" and goes on further to state "Self evaluation and reflective practice is built into all aspects of the provision and has resulted in a happy and comfortable environment where all children achieve well in all five outcomes."

We are also proud that we have acheived our 'Quality Mark' from The Basic Skills Agency for the second time.

Our aim is to provide high quality care and education to all the children in our setting. We pride ourselves on our welcoming atmosphere, and our happy and secure environment. We ensure each child has the opportunties provided to help them reach their full potential.

We provide weekly Spanish lessons for Pre-School children as well as weekly music and dance sessions for all children with our regular music teacher.

Ages

We take children from birth right up to 5 years when they take their first steps into primary school.  We offer a breakfast and after school for children aged 5-11 years. (See the heading 'Kool Kids' above)

Our day nursery in Romford is a fun and happy place filled with laughter and activity. The atmosphere of joy and fun greets you the moment you walk through the door.  All our staff enjoy their work and are dedicated to ensuring that all the children love coming here as much as we do.

We take the health, safety and welfare of all the children in our care very seriously. We will take every measure to ensure your child is safe and protected while in our care. We operate a strict security system in the setting and we have a finger print recognition entry system to ensure only those persons allowed to collect a child may enter the building.  We also have CCTV cameras that monitor all of the play rooms, messy rooms, gardens and the front door, this data is recorded.

We have a Designated Safeguarding Team, who have received training from the local authority and all of our staff members undertake regularly safeguarding training. All staff have also received training on The Prevent Duty, Female Genital Mutilation and Behaviour Management. We also have a whistle blowing policy.

We follow a safer recruitment procedure, which includes interview, trial day, two references are requested, one being from a previous employer, a doctors report is requested and prospective candidates are required to have an enhanced DBS check. Candidates must provide proof of ID and qualification certificates at the interview.
